BCAP is the U.S. Army’s process to assess an officer’s fitness for battalion command. Officers selected on the Lieutenant Colonel Centralized Selection List (CSL) are invited to attend the #BCAP to continue to pursue battalion command. During the BCAP, officers will take a series of cognitive, non-cognitive, physical, verbal, and written assessments. They will also conduct an interview with a panel of senior Army officers. A former JBLM Army battalion commander is facing a rare court-martial for sexual harassment of a subordinate and could face a dishonorable discharge and jail time. Lt. Col. Herman West commanded the 94th Field Artillery Regiment, 17th Field Artillery Brigade until the US Army charged him last month with wrongfully and dishonorably mistreating female officers within his command, violating Article 133 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice. It is believed, by attorneys, to be a rare case of sexua
